This represents some 469,243 acres of land for sale in the state (accounting for about one percent of land in the state). Of the 77 counties in the state, Oklahoma County had the most land and acreage for sale. The most expensive property listed for sale in Oklahoma on Lands of America recently was $35 million, although the median price for land, homesites and other rural acreage for sale in Oklahoma came in at $305,793. The average price of land and ranches for sale in Oklahoma was $542,373. Based on comps submitted through the Lands of America Comparable Sales program in August 2018, Oklahoma is among the country's top five states for land sold during the month. This reflects an increase in sales activity over data from July 2018. Oklahoma County recorded the most land sales recently in the state. In total, 68,595 square miles (98 percent) covers land area, while the remaining 1,304 square miles is covered by water.
